Around the Fireplace... Holiday Traditions

Hang your Christmas stocking!

» Château Ramezay - Musée et site historique de Montréal

Only the Château Ramezay offers this activity! Children can hang a Christmas stocking by the fireplace and come back in the New Year to see what Santa has left them! (But they’d better be good!)

Stockings are on sale for $10 + tax. They can be hung from December 2nd 2017 to January 30th 2018 and picked up as of January 2, 2018.

Santas Are Taking Over the Museum

» Musée Stewart

From November 15, 2017 to January 7, 2018, visitors are invited to see some 30 figurines of the jolly man in red and a gorgeous Szálasi doll castle that comes to life at the sound of music.

Unearthing Montreal's luminous past : A living archeological legacy

» Château Ramezay - Musée et site historique de Montréal in collaboration with Desjardins

For the City’s 375th anniversary, come see an exhibit featuring the archeology of Montreal.

Inspired by the publication Lumières sous la ville : Quand l’archéologie raconte Montréal, and for the City’s 375th anniversary, the Château Ramezay is presenting an exhibit featuring the archeology of Montreal. Visitors will have an opportunity to get a close-up look at some of the artifacts which illustrate the lives of those who have lived on this island, from prehistoric Aboriginal peoples to industrial era Montrealers. This book, published in fall 2016 by Recherches amérindiennes du Québec, was written under the direction of archeologists Anne-Marie Balac and François C. Bélanger. The book is available for purchase at the Château Ramezay's bookstore.
