Winner of the Quebec Tourism Grand Prize in 2007 and 2005, the Festival International « Nuits d’Afrique » is a unique event in North America, the 5th main cultural event of Montreal. It is the only one indeed to offer, during the same event, all the world musics with African roots, which include music from Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, whether in French, in English or in any languages. This specificity gives the festival a major touristic potential, celebrating Montreal as a unique cultural experience in Canada. Since it was created, almost 23 years ago, the Festival International « Nuits d’Afrique » is at the forefront of the international world music scene. The greatest artists from Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America presented their show for the 1st time in Montreal thanks to this Festival.
